Nueva Manteca presents: ‘Chicano Rock’.
The latest project of Nueva Manteca ‘Chicano Rock’ is an ode to the Latin Rock of the seventies. One of the central sources in this project is Carlos Santana. In his spirit the group combined Rock music with breathtaking guitars, tight horns, overloaded with hammond soul.
TANGO EXTREMO presents: ‘TANGO NOVO’
The first half of this upcoming theatreseason 2012/2013 Tango Extremo will launch a new program: ‘Tango Novo’! A whole evening of enjoying the most beautiful music, presented in an almost hilarious way by our violinist Tanya Schaap.What do Debussy, tango and Brazilian samba have in common? In principal not much, until Tango Extremo interfears! Brace yourself for an unforgettable evening of breathtaking music and bedtime stories about sleepless nights in Buenos Aires. We are very proud and pleased to announce that we will be playing our Bolivian debut this year! We will play three concerts in three different cities: La Paz, El Alto City and Santa Cruz. The shows are organized by ‘Festijazz’ Bolivia. Festijazz is one of South America’s most prestigious Jazzfestivals.
The dates are September 14, 15 and 16 and you can find the exact details in the agenda. As you can imagine, we are very much looking forward to doing this tour!
In August the fourth edition of the Jazz summerschool in Seoul, South Korea will be a fact.
A wonderfull and great team of Dutch professors will teach Korean and Japanese students. Izaline Callister, Ed Verhoeff, Peter Beets, Marius Beets, Ben van den Dungen, Gijs Dijkhuizen and Ab Schaap are the professors who will give ‘ acte de precence’ overthere.
